Jagjit Singh, born Jagmohan Singh (8 February 1941 – 10 October 2011), was a prominent Indian Ghazal singer, songwriter and musician. Known as the “Ghazal King”, he gained acclaim together with his wife, another renowned Indian ghazal singer Chitra Jagjit Singh in the 1970s and 1980s.He sang in numerous languages. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the government of India in 2003.
These books are aimed at a wide cross-section of generations, especially the second generation expatriates. We believe that music transcends all barriers and acts as a cross-culture and a cross-generation glue. Amongst you readers there may be some Jagjit Singh ghazal fans, who (like our own daughters) may not have studied the Hindi/Urdu script but wish to learn, understand & sing this genre. These books are a humble attempt to preserve the rich legacy left to us and future generations by the late Jagjit Singh. A lot of research and analysis has gone into producing these unique set of books. We can learn a lot from his music. We are both medical doctors by profession and these books are a ‘labour of our love’ for the music and genius of Jagjit Singh’s virtuosity.

The book costs £100 or equivalent in your currency at the prevailing exchange rate on the day the payment is made. The price you pay should be visible to you as you go through the payment portal.
All books are printed and prepared as ‘print on demand’! On receipt of the order, your copy will be produced. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. From time to time, we may have a limited shelf stock ready for immediate delivery.
Orders are couriered by DHL Express worldwide. You can track your order online. Import tax, at your local VAT/GST rate, is now payable when the books are imported. The global average VAT/GST rate for printed books is 5.75% The tax is payable when the book is imported and will be charged by DHL prior to making the delivery. DHL may also make an administrative charge.
Print on Demand is a special arrangement to produce one copy at a time. Traditionally, Publishers print in bulk and store the books ready for dispatch on receiving orders. They can do this as they have infrastructure and financial capital to do so. We, the authors are self-publishers.
The book is printed on demand, bound and prepared. This can take up to 2 weeks! The courier can take another week to deliver the order, depending on which part of the World it needs to go.

- Books once sold can only be returned in the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect. All our books go through a multi-level quality control check before being dispatched.
- Customers have to bear the cost of the postage and packing of returned books.
- Returned books should not be damaged in other way and care must be taken by the customer when packing the book for return.
- No refunds will be made in any other circumstances.
- Books for return must be posted within 2 days of receipt. All our delivery dates are tracked. Books returned after this stipulated time will not be replaced.
